Who we are
Peace of Mind MMJ, LLC — formerly known as Peace of Mind of Kankakee — is an Illinois medical cannabis card certification and application-assistance service. We connect qualifying patients with a licensed clinician and provide administrative help with the Illinois adult patient application after a favorable certification decision. Illinois controls approval and processing time.
We are not a dispensary, and we don't sell cannabis. What we do is take the hardest part easier to navigate: coordinating the evaluation and helping certified applicants prepare the state paperwork they review and authorize.
Our mission
Too many people who could benefit from Illinois' medical cannabis program never start because the process feels overwhelming — especially when they're already dealing with a serious condition. We exist to remove that barrier. We treat every person with dignity, privacy, and genuine compassion, and we stay available from the first phone call through the recorded application process and beyond. The clinician makes the certification decision, and Illinois makes the application decision.
Where we work
We serve adult Illinois applicants statewide. Secure statewide telehealth is available for the portions of the process approved for remote completion. Required identity verification and signature steps are completed in person. In-person support is available in Watseka and Bourbonnais; Frankfort is an appointment/service area.
