Physician discretion

Illinois may permit a certifying clinician to consider certain conditions that are not explicitly named on the list. The current IDPH source controls; staff can explain the application process, while a licensed clinician makes an independent certification decision.

A note on anxiety and depression

Illinois does notcurrently list general anxiety or depression as standalone qualifying conditions. We mention this plainly because we'd rather give you accurate information than set the wrong expectation. If a related condition applies to you, we're glad to help you understand your options.
